Acid3 테스트 (웹브라우저 표준 테스트 ) 결과

IT 관련해서 웹서핑을 하다보니 어떤 블로그에 각 브라우저 별 Acid3 테스트 결과를 올려놨길래 옮겨봅니다. (원본은 옆에 제목에 걸린 링크 클릭)

파이어 폭스2 , 파이어 폭스3 베타, 오페라, 사파리, 윈도우 익스플로러를 대상으로 Acid3 테스트를 했는데...
사파리가 75개로 가장 많이 통과했고 윈도우 익스플로러는 12개밖에 통과를 못했네요.

간단하게 말해서 웹프라우저가 웹표준을 얼마나 준수하는지 검사하는 테스트입니다.

The result should look like below:

Firefox 2.0.0.13
(Although it does not look like firefox, it is as I applied safari theme to the firefox 2.)

Firefox 3 beta5

Opera 9.27
(It is very weird that after updating the opera version to 9.27, it shows worse result than the one from the older version.)

Safari 3.1 for Windows

Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180

The worst part is that many people still use Internet Explorer 6.

As shown in the screenshots above, Safari shows the best result while the result of IE 6 is the worst. However, this is not surprising at all because Safari was the first to pass acid2 test whereas IE 6 has never passed it. I could unfortunately not test Konqueror as it just displayed error message and closed itself when I tested it. Despite this failure, according to wikipedia, Konqueror passed 65 out of 100 tests.

Wikipedia also reveals that the development version of Safari and Opera passed 100 tests already yet both browsers still have performance issues to fix.
